Celebrate love and creativity in this special Valentine's Day pottery class! Learn how to make a ceramic bowl and cup—no experience necessary! This 2.5-hour class is designed for couples to enjoy a unique and memorable date night together. Explore both wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques, spending 1 hour on the pottery wheel and another hour hand-building. Join artist Jotham Hung for a hands-on throwing workshop exploring the art of tea-ware. Learn how to create teapots, chawan, and yunomi using the traditional “off-the-hump” technique, practiced for centuries across Asia. Jotham will guide students through forming and assembling teapots, refining drinking vessels, and experimenting with surface decoration like faceting, carving, and slip work. Open to intermediate students comfortable centering 2–3 lbs of clay.
