These classes offer students the opportunity to deepen their understanding of clay through targeted instruction, experimentation, and hands-on practice in a smaller class setting.

Learn the art of nerikomi, a Japanese technique that uses colored clay to create intricate repeating patterns. In this workshop, students will learn how to build a floral cane and use the patterned clay to create a finished piece. This class offers an approachable introduction to the world of nerikomi and is open to all skill levels, though some handbuilding experience is helpful.
